Using the internet to grow your business is become more and more a necessity. Around 60% of revenue is now generated online. If your business does not yet have a site then may I suggest you consider it? This post has been written with you in mind so please consider the following information.
Search engine results show that around 71% of searches are local in nature. So 71% of us are looking to our local areas for local services and products on a regular basis. There has been a misconception that people use the internet for global reference only and in some cases this is true. But actually, we mainly use the internet to look for local information that can help us. So, using the internet to grow your business locally can really reap the rewards.
An easy way to make content
WordPress is an amazing blog system that is so easy to use. You can put your own content in whenever you want and the search engines love new, original content. You can put in your own text, images and videos to really connect with your audience. I only use WordPress because there are so many things you can do with it. This blog that you are looking at now is a WordPress blog. Take a look around and see what I do with it.
Videos are a great way to communicate your information with people interested in your information. Text and images are fine and it looks really good, but generally people would rather watch a video than read lots of text. So, a short video that is easy to put together can do a lot of the work for you. Videos also keep your target audience on your page for longer as well. Currently, I have got an average visit rate of 4 minutes which I’m pleased about. It also keeps my bounce rate down as well.Video marketing is an effective way of using the internet to grow your business as it can create a viral effect on Youtube or other video platforms and get your blog loads more traffic and attention.
Get attention for your products and services
Social media is becoming a very important way of drawing attention to your products or services.
Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Digg, and Google+ are used by hundreds of millions of people. That’s a lot of traffic that you can direct towards your products or services. I can show you how to do this properly and get lots of traffic to your site.
Google+ is a fantastic FREE resource on Google that will bring up your business details, contact details and map location up with the search results. So, if someone searches for a painter and decorator in Halifax, West Yorkshire the results could show this business up in the first 7 results with the address, phone number, email address and the address of the business shown on Google maps.
