Why should I use video on my website

Why should I use video on my website

Why should I use video on my website. Video is current, video is what people want in their information now. If people see a video thumbnail in their Google search results – they are much more likely to click on your link.

You can show how passionate you are about your products, services or interests in video. Sure, you can write passionately, but it doesn’t always come across how you truely want. It doesn’t take long to do and once you’ve filmed your video, you can share it across the most powerful platforms out there – Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and your blog.

Your video will rank in the major search engines as well as your blog content which includes your video within it. I post my videos out on 4 video platforms as well as my blog and social media pages. This way, I dominate the search engines for my blog and video title keywords and manage to answer people’s questions and problems in many different places.

Why should I use video on my website? You will get more traffic, more attention to your products, services and interests. You will build rapport and relationships with people who will watch your videos and immediately start to get to know you. Text does not have this immediate impact. I use video in my emails to get attention and to start building rapport. It’s amazing how much more business I get from using video. Get into it now and you won’t look back.

How do I rank high on Google

How do I rank high on Google

People often ask me how do I rank high on Google? Well, I just follow some simple rules every single time and above all, I keep consistent. I’m going to go through some important pointers to give you a taster of what I do to achieve these consistently high rankings.

Researching Content Post Titles

This is one of the most important but most overlooked tactics.  A lot of network marketers inparticular, seem to overlook this important tactic. A content post title is the most important part of your content’s SEO because this is how your content will be found in the search engines. When someone goes to Google do you think they are about to search for, “today I went to the shops and saw a purple duck”? No-one on the search engines cares what you saw or what you think about purple ducks! They are going to type in their problem or issue that they need an answer for.

If you do not want any traffic from the search engines then I am sure that web 2.0 sites like Facebook will only be too happy to learn about your purple ducks!

Still, It is well worth tidying up your optimisation for your potential customers though because if you are not search engine reliant, you still need to answer people’s questions whatever medium you are using to reach people. You can goto Yahoo Answers to get a feel for what people are asking through forums and the search engines. Once you decide on something that fits with your market place, pop it into Google search as a phrase search and see how many searches it attracts. You can then decide whether it’s something you think will get you traffic without lots of competition.

Headings

Headings will help you rank high on Google because the search engines see headings as good SEO. It splits the content up into readable chunks and is good for the user experience. Try and put some good keywords in there so it describes the content that is coming.

Linking Structure

Linking structure is all important when looking at the overall SEO for your content. Linking your content to authority sites and to content within your blog will work in your favour. Linking to other sites, especially authority sites will show the search engines that you are providing the visitor with good content and with options to really find the information they need. It will also get you good links which the search engines see as votes for your content. I like to send people to other pieces of content within my blog and also send them to my Facebook page and sometimes my You Tube Channel. It keeps visitors within my brand and it helps build their trust.

Using Videos Within Your Content

You’ll know from my blog, that my opinion of video is huge. You Tube currently gets approximately 1 billion hits every day. There are other video platforms such as Daily Motion and Vimeo. They all get a ton of traffic every-day and you could be getting some of that. If one of your videos is optimised properly and has a big-time keyword in there, you could be going viral with your product or service and you’ll get loads of traffic and hopefully some sales and sign-ups. My You Tube videos are ranking just as high or higher than my blog content and I have links in there to send traffic to.

Social network Posting

Once you have completed your piece of content and published it, it will get picked up by the search engine spiders and it will get ranked. The next thing to do is to share your content where there are millions of people on another medium – Social networking sites.

Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Stumbleupon, Digg, Reddit, Delicious and Google+ are just a few examples of the huge amount of networking sites that are online. Each different site has a different way of sharing content and are used by different groups of people. As an example, reddit and Pinterest are used by different types of people and the sites are completely different.

Reddit is used mainly by males who are into tech and Pinterest is mainly used by women. When you look at your product or service you must research where your market place is represented online and goto it. This is just targeting your traffic, going upto it and putting your product or service within it.

I goto Facebook groups and search for groups that are appropriate to my niche or market place. Then I have prospects ready to approach in a friendly manner. I use Twitter search to put my keywords into and I can find people to approach and help them with my blog posts. Like forum posting it can take time but well worth it.

So, when asking how do I rank high on Google, take into account the points I have raised above. I could go into each subject much more deeply but I’ll happily go into that if you want to get in touch with any questions you may have.

Using social media for marketing

Using social media for marketing

Using social media for marketing can be a slower way of getting your online sales at first. Social media is there for interaction with people and to share information. What people do not like, is to be sold to. People like to buy from people and with social media, you can build up trust, share free information and show yourself as an authority.

I use social media for marketing and I’ll go through some of the platforms that I like to use to get my content lots of attention from the right places.

  • Facebook. I love to use Facebook for prospecting leads. I target Facebook groups that are appropriate to my niche or marketplace and look at the people commenting and ‘liking’ content on the page. If that person is indicating that they need a solution to a problem and I think I can provide that solution then I will introduce myself and start a conversation. I never go in for the sell though, and simply talk about the subject in hand first. After bouncing some messages back and forth and giving some free information to them, I will slowly introduce my product or service to their attention.
  • Pinterest is a new addition to my social portfolio. Using Pinterest for marketing is great because millions of people use it and it is totally different from other sharing sites. It’s based on the idea of you having an online notice board and you ‘pin’ content to it. The content can be images, blog content or video. People can follow you and share your Pinterest content on Facebook. I really like it because it’s visual and the layout looks good and clean. You can link the images to where you want to send the person looking at your content.
  • Stumbleupon gets me loads of traffic to my blog. Once I’ve completed my blog post and published it, I will bookmark it onto Stumbleupon. How Stumbleupon works is that the user will log in and choose a category and ask the site to find it an interesting site or blog within that category. Once your site or blog post comes up then the user can share it with friends on facebook or other sharing sites. This particular site works out very well for me.
  • Digg is one of the sites that has a lot of authority on Google. You can post your blog content on there and also add friends. By having your content ‘dugg’ it is like a voting system and the most diggs that a site gets then they get onto Digg’s homepage and get a ton of traffic!

Using social media for marketing needs different approaches for different platforms. On Twitter, for instance, there are marketers putting their sales links everywhere and it’s allowed. But, just because it’s allowed, it doesn’t mean it works! Do you like to be sold to by a stranger? What do you think when someone direct messages you with a link for their company or product?

So, when you’re using interaction sites like Facebook and Twitter, don’t stomp in with your boots and and get selling. Look at the site that you are using and do what the ‘locals’ are doing. Be respectful and develop friendships first. It won’t be long before your new friends are asking you what you do and then the door is open for that particular conversation.

With sites like Pinterest and Digg, you can post your content which is linked to your site and you’ll get traffic. So use as many bookmarking sites as you possibly can because you can never have too much traffic

I hope this content does help you to generate leads online. See you next time!

How to get more customers

How to get more customers

This morning the question of the day seems to be about how to get some more customers. Everyone wants more leads and customers, and this is a genuine problem with some network marketers and business owners in general. So, let’s tackle this problem with some solutions.

Social Media Sites:

I urge anyone with a business, whether it’s online or a bricks and mortar set up. Get a Facebook page, or a Twitter page and get your brand out there. Businesses and shops on the high street are struggling enough these days and they cannot rely on actual people going into their shops anymore. A lot of people use the internet, it’s now the biggest marketplace on the planet and if you aren’t taking your place in there then you are going to struggle for customers.

Facebook is used by masses of people every-day. It’s not just used by people who want to tell you what they’ve just had for breakfast, a lot of people are making decisions about products and services on there and you need to get your brand on there so you can interact with your future customers and get some awareness going.

Twitter is great for targeting people who would be interested in hearing about your business. When I’m looking for potential customers I’ll use Twitter search and use keywords in that search that people may be using in their tweets. So as an example, If I am looking for people that might have just started up in business and want a website or blog setting up for their new business, I’ll twitter search with words like ‘new business’ or even ‘need a blog’! You’ll get a list of search results and you can then just follow these people and begin to interact with them – don’t go in for the heavy sell at first though. People like to buy and not to be sold to. Please remember that!

Video Marketing

Video is really powerful now. 1 billion daily hits are recorded on You Tube every single day. Do you think a piece of that traffic would benefit your products or services? Yeah, I thought so. Video platforms such as You Tube, Daily Motion, and Vimeo are used by millions and millions of people every day.

I make a short video every day and post that video on all three video platforms and a site called Mefeedia. That one short video I have filmed then gets ranked by Google 4 times! Talk about dominating the search engines! There are more killer tactics I employ on my content creation so if you want to know more then please come over.

Blogging

Blogging is the new online rock’n’roll at the moment! Influential people online have really woken up to the power of what a blog can do for your products and services. For those of you who do not know what a blog is – It is an easy to use website that you can simply add new content to whenever you like without the need for programming knowledge. If I can do it, so can you and I’ll gladly show you how if you click here.

Fresh, original new content about your products and services is what the search engines want. The search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing are in the information business. When someone is looking for an answer to their problem on the search engines, the search engines want to provide the best solution to that problem. Getting your blogs information on the search engines puts your business right into the busiest market place on the planet – The Internet! And by constructing your content properly and putting the right amount of research into it, you can get your content at the top end of the search results thereby directing lots of traffic towards your business

How to get more customers is actually a question I love to answer. I could go on and on but I thought these 3 killer tips is a great place to get you on the right road to getting more of those customers that you want.

Keep smiling :)

Internet marketing help for Halifax businesses

You know your business best:

Many companies, small businesses and individuals employ SEO companies to take care of their search engine optimisation. This can be because some people don’t have the time or think they don’t have the time to do it themselves. Some people think it’s very complicated and some SEO companies give them the impression that it’s very complicated. It’s a lot more straight forward than people think and it can be done with some regular maintenance work.

There are some really good, ethical SEO companies out there but due diligence must be done properly if you really do want to go down that road. But if there is room in your weekly schedule or in that of your staff then I recommend you do it yourself.

As you know your products and services better than anyone, you should be in control of writing or planning your site content. It might sound really obvious but I have seen too many blog posts made by outside contractors brought in by business owners. The content simply won’t convert into good number of sales. How does someone in another country or even county know how to write passionately about local beer produced in Halifax for example. Control your content and you will get better sales or leads.

Internet marketing help for Halifax businesses can come in the form of setting up your blog and social media portfolio. I can train you up to do it yourself or I can set it all up and run a maintenance period in where i can input new content that you have produced or proof read.  I regularly design bespoke packages for individuals and businesses in Halifax as well as across the globe.

Making Social Media Work For You

Making Social Media Work For You

Making social media work for you can mean a lot more attention and traffic for your product or service online. Although social media isn’t a significant supplier of traffic like search engines, the potential for traffic is there because you can get targeted traffic from social media. For instance, Google+ has the concept of circles. You can decide what content to send to a particular circle of people such as family, acquaintances or followers.

Social media is itself a platform where you can share your thoughts, opinions, photographs, videos, music and business ideas on a daily basis. You can add which friends or business contacts you want, therefore, building your own network of contacts to share or send your information to.

How does Social Media work for Business?

In terms of business, social media has provided a stage where recruitment, customer service, business branding, professional networking, and marketing products and services has flourished.
If you were to have a good number of people on a facebook fan page, for instance, and you were to add regular postings then you would be pitching to them with every posting. It is becoming a powerful marketing tool all on its own and deserves its own dedication. Simply putting up a page and leaving it to hang around will not to. So choose your social media site carefully in tandem with your service or product’s niche subject.

making social media work for you

making social media work for you

Here are some suggestions of Social Media sites:

• Twitter is a site where you have 140 characters in which to use for your particular opinion, thought of the day, business idea or posting.
• Facebook was originally created for students to share chat and photographs. It has evolved massively into our daily routines where we can keep in touch with family and friends and share our lives. It has also developed into a huge business tool and it is possible to have separate business pages away from our personal ones.
• LinkedIn is a platform for business. Networking, advertising, and recruitment are regular activities on a daily basis.
• Google+ has brought the concept of using circles to share your information with. Acquaintances, friends and followers can be sent whatever content you wish as opposed to one list of friends on facebook.

How do we use social media sites?

Quite simply, all you need to do is open an account, create a profile,  and design your page with content. Then you add friends or contacts. If you are making a page for your business then make sure you target your contacts for the business you are in. Qualified leads are the best, so don’t fill your contacts with anyone. It will be a waste of time.

Making social media work for you will help you build and brand your business online. It will help you reach out to more people than you thought was possible. Social media is still in its infancy. But at the current rate it is growing, it is wise to be handily placed and all set up ready for when this explodes. One day it will. Will you be there ready to take advantage? If you aren’t sure about how to do this effectively or simply do not have time then I can help you with that. Click here to see how I can show you how to be effective with social media.
