Making it work

Making it work

Making it work has to come from within you. Inner focus and concentrating on your heart and soul will give you the driving forces and your ‘Why’ to fight for what you want in 2013. Recently in Texas, David Sharpe address a room full of Empower leaders and gave this speech on ‘Making it work’ – Enjoy.

David Sharpe’s Recent Leadership Address

How many of you are committed to making it work and building the biggest business of your entire life in 2013?

What I’m going to ask you guys to do, is I am going to ask you to have an honest conversation with yourselves in the mirror, and ask what you want to do in making it work in 2013.

Some of you want to quit your jobs; a lot of you still have jobs.

Some of you want to be able to vacation like a lot of us.

Some of you want to buy a Maserati and have it delivered to your house.

Some of you want to move to Costa Rica.

Some of you want to go and visit Scotland where you are from, like Toby and Layla just got back from doing.

Some of you want to go and hang out with Simon in the UK and just go and have a ‘Cheeky Pint’ whenever you want. Some of you guys just want to be “Brilliant” like Simon.

Whatever it is that you want to do in 2013, I want you to start putting yourself in that place, in that situation already. When Dave and I started the company, we already knew what we wanted to do, and there was no doubt in our mind as to what we were going to do.

making it work

Making it Work!

I don’t know if you were like me growing up, but I knew that people didn’t think like me. I just knew that what was going on in their head was not the same thing that was going on in my head.

When I was swinging a hammer on a construction site, I can remember thinking to myself almost every single day,

This is not where I belong. This is not where I belong, this is not where I belong.”

I would tell myself that over and over and over again, until a door opened up, and I walked through it.

I’ll tell you what, people that live the life of their dreams got there because they were dreaming, they didn’t stop believing. They didn’t stop going out there and fighting.

I don’t care where you are at right now, if your going through something at home, if your going through some personal struggles, because you can get through them, and we’ll help you.

The cool thing is that we are on this journey together, and you will never hear out of Dave and I’s mouth, “We’ve arrived.” You will never hear that, because the day that someone tells you that, you’d better turn the other way and run.

…the day that someone tells you that, you’d better turn the other way and run.”

You’ve got to stay in the process of developing your skills and your heart. A lot of people wonder what the missing key is. The missing key is that you’ve got to get up every single day and find something that is going to inspire you in making it work.

I’ve got some secrets to my success and they are the basics. You don’t need to go out there and do anything special. You need to turn the focus inside. You need to focus, you need to get serious, 2013 is already here. Lets do it.

Your Challenge

I want you to do what David Sharpe asked us leaders to do in this speech. I want you to look in the mirror and ask yourself what you really want.

What are you going to do in 2013?

See yourself there as if it has already happened.

Go out there and take action until you have made it a reality.

2013 is your year. Lets lock arms and do this together!

Be sure to comment below and let me know what your personal vision is for 2013!

To Your Success and Freedom, making it work

P.S. Anyone still sitting on the fence should watch this video now, and then take action when the time comes. After you have made the decision to become a member, goto your email box and expect some stuff to come from me to get you started.

Top Ten YouTube Tips

My Top Ten YouTube Tips for today will help tighten up your channel, organise your content better and hopefully get you plenty more views! Many channels are neglected and left to gather dust. With a simple, organised strategy – there’s no reason why you can’t crush it and see off your competitors. You Tube has an estimated 1 billion DAILY hits! I know I want a piece of that action!

Here we go then with your Top Ten YouTube tips:

1. Customise your Channel. Whether it’s my channel, Facebook page, Twitter account or LinkedIn page, I always concentrate on building and branding myself online. So, I keep the same name for everything, try and use the same images, profile information and links to your primary business or company. This way, people will associate your products or services with YOU.

2. Subtitles. You can use the subtitles to cater for people with hearing difficulties or if regional accents or dialects are a problem. It’s good communication and it’s reaching out to MORE views and traffic! Use any advantage you can find.

3. Use annotations sensibly. No-one likes multiple messages flashing around your video. It’s a turn-off and to be honest, after your third one comes up people stop noticing them anyway! If you find your content has lots of subjects in there then have a look at your delivery and your content and stick to the subject in hand. I generally have one, sometimes two but that’s it. And space them out so when they come up on the screen they are noticible.

4. Protect yourself from offensive comments. You don’t want offensive rubbish on your channel and you really don’t want it to be there for a few days if you can’t get online! So, in your editing mode, de-select video comments.

5. Interact! YouTube is a social network so interact. Leave comments, put likes out there. Show people your personality and what you like to watch. Don’t just put your videos on there and have no profile or personality. Get involved. One hour per week will be enough.

6. Get your Tags right. YouTube’s content is organised on a tag word basis. It is well worth adding the correct tags to your content. I like to use a more-the-merrier attitude to this so I don’t miss the opportunities of more views. So, if I’m uploading a video about protecting pets from ticks and fleas, I’ll use tags like cats, dogs, pooch, kittens, puppies, fleas, ticks, puppies, paws ect. Cover all bases cos we really don’t know what people are putting the video search bar do we?

7. Description box. Use the description box to its maximum potential. So many people don’t use this fantastic tool. You can put plenty of keyword rich content in here along with the link to your product, service or the blog post the video sits in. Have a look at this video for a good example.

8. Get your videos out there. Don’t just leave your videos sat in your Youtube channel. Blog it, Tweet it and Facebook it to name but ways of getting your content more views.

9. Analytics. Use the FREE analytic tools to track your views and get as much data as you can. It can help with testing and to help with future video marketing strategies

10. Keywords. Put a list of keywords at the foot of your description box. Put your tag list there if you want, but I like to put some keywords in the list. This will count as content and this is a brilliant way of ranking your content higher in the search engines.

So there you go! Top Ten YouTube Tips to get you more views to your content.

Content is King

I have been using WordPress Blogs for a long time as it is easy to add fresh new content whenever I want. Unique content is exactly what the search engines want and so do people using the search engines. Companies such as Google and Bing are in the information business and all they want to do is to provide the searcher with the most accurate results to the search. The combination of keywords and relative information to the content title will ensure that in time, your content will rank highly in the search engines.

Here are some important statistics for businesses in Halifax:

• 71% of ALL searches conducted online are local in nature. That’s a huge amount of searches looking for products or services in Halifax. You could be a part of that.
• 60% of revenue is generated online. This figure will increase as the internet grows.

Internet marketing help for Halifax businesses

You know your business best:

Many companies, small businesses and individuals employ SEO companies to take care of their search engine optimisation. This can be because some people don’t have the time or think they don’t have the time to do it themselves. Some people think it’s very complicated and some SEO companies give them the impression that it’s very complicated. It’s a lot more straight forward than people think and it can be done with some regular maintenance work.

There are some really good, ethical SEO companies out there but due diligence must be done properly if you really do want to go down that road. But if there is room in your weekly schedule or in that of your staff then I recommend you do it yourself.

As you know your products and services better than anyone, you should be in control of writing or planning your site content. It might sound really obvious but I have seen too many blog posts made by outside contractors brought in by business owners. The content simply won’t convert into good number of sales. How does someone in another country or even county know how to write passionately about local beer produced in Halifax for example. Control your content and you will get better sales or leads.

Internet marketing help for Halifax businesses can come in the form of setting up your blog and social media portfolio. I can train you up to do it yourself or I can set it all up and run a maintenance period in where i can input new content that you have produced or proof read.  I regularly design bespoke packages for individuals and businesses in Halifax as well as across the globe.

Using the internet to grow your business is become more and more a necessity. Around 60% of revenue is now generated online. If your business does not yet have a site then may I suggest you consider it? This post has been written with you in mind so please consider the following information.

Search engine results show that around 71% of searches are local in nature. So 71% of us are looking to our local areas for local services and products on a regular basis. There has been a misconception that people use the internet for global reference only and in some cases this is true. But actually, we mainly use the internet to look for local information that can help us. So, using the internet to grow your business locally can really reap the rewards.

An easy way to make content

WordPress is an amazing blog system that is so easy to use. You can put your own content in whenever you want and the search engines love new, original content. You can put in your own text, images and videos to really connect with your audience. I only use WordPress because there are so many things you can do with it. This blog that you are looking at now is a WordPress blog. Take a look around and see what I do with it.

Using the internet grow your business

Videos are a great way to communicate your information with people interested in your information. Text and images are fine and it looks really good, but generally people would rather watch a video than read lots of text. So, a short video that is easy to put together can do a lot of the work for you. Videos also keep your target audience on your page for longer as well. Currently, I have got an average visit rate of 4 minutes which I’m pleased about. It also keeps my bounce rate down as well.Video marketing is an effective way of using the internet to grow your business as it can create a viral effect on Youtube or other video platforms and get your blog loads more traffic and attention.

Get attention for your products and services

Social media is becoming a very important way of drawing attention to your products or services.
Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Digg, and Google+ are used by hundreds of millions of people. That’s a lot of traffic that you can direct towards your products or services. I can show you how to do this properly and get lots of traffic to your site.

Using the internet grow your business

Google+ is a fantastic FREE resource on Google that will bring up your business details, contact details and map location up with the search results. So, if someone searches for  a painter and decorator in Halifax, West Yorkshire the results could show this business up in the first 7 results with the address, phone number, email address and the address of the business shown on Google maps. This valuable tool has increased revenue for local businesses to the tune of 25%. If you want to increase your earnings then get in touch and I can show you how to use Google Places to do this.

I can help you every step of the way

Writing a successful blog post

Writing a successful blog post

Writing a successful blog post will attract regular visitors to your blog. As long as the content is relevant to your blog and is interesting to the reader, your content will be well received.

Continually adding successful blog posts will only succeed in increasing traffic to your blog, making it more popular.

There are, however, some important rules to respect when writing a successful blog post, and they are:

• Using clean URL’s

• Writing consistent and relevant content

• Keyword and LSI Keyword use

• Video content

• Image content

• Bullet points

• Social Media posting

• Linking structure to other posts in your blog and to other bloggers

• Readers leaving comments

• Lots of content!

Using Clean URL’s

I’ve seen many blog posts or website page url’s that have a car crash of a url or link that just doesn’t make sense. It isn’t just important that humans can make sense of a url, but also the search engines. With a blog post the title of the post will be in the url. So if you choose a good, relevant title which is relative to the content you will end up with something like –

www.adrianwhitworth.com/writing-a-successful-blog-post  rather than www.adrianwhitworth.com/0235023lkasdnbfl,zxnvlz;kshdrg;so45u7w3405u7w0349utw0

You can see the obvious difference here. Which one would you pick out that is clearer?

writing successful blog post

Writing consistent and relevant content

It is really important to stick to the subject in hand. Yes, you can discuss several topics or subjects within an overall niche or subject. Just make sure it is all relevant. For example, if your overall blog subject or niche is movies then you can talk about independents, action, drama, thrillers or horror. You can also discuss directors, actors, actresses or even stunt performers. What about locations used on period dramas. You can see from this example how you expand content in your blogs but keep the relevancy. This relevancy will please the search engines and get it ranked appropriately.

Keywords and LSI keyword use

Some people spend lots of time on this and some people just get it and quickly pick out the keywords they want to rank for and include in their posts. My take on it is simple as far as post writing is concerned. I look at the body of information that will make up the post and choose 5 keywords that are relevant to the content and use them throughout the content, making sure it reads sensibly. LSI keywords are used around the main keywords which are words relative to the keywords. For example, If I was to use the keyword turntable I would choose LSI keywords such as tone arm, direct drive, vinyl records and stylus.

Video Content

Video is king as far as getting ranked is concerned. There is also a tonne of traffic to be found and used online. It is still being under-used in my opinion and it’s too big a subject to cover here. You don’t need much equipment to do this successfully and you certainly don’t have to be Denzel Washington to be in a video! But check out this link to delve deeper within video content.

Image Content

The use of images in content hasn’t been used properly in my opinion. The use of emotional images along-with the SEO of alt-tags will help get your content ranked even higher. I consider this to be just as important as video marketing. Again, it’s not being utilised to its potential by the majority of bloggers. I will be posting out content regarding this subject very soon.

Social Media Posting

If you can get your content shared out to as many social networks as possible, the search engines will look at this popularity and it will result in better rankings for you. I now have profiles on nearly 20 social media sites and when i post new content on my blog, I bookmark it out to all of these sites. I also work hard on each individual profile as well because I want people to keep coming back to read the content and become friends or contacts because it’s all traffic at the end of the day.

Linking Structure

Linking to other posts in your blog is very good. It highlights the relevancy of all your content with each other and is good for overall ranking for your site. I also link to other bloggers as I think that if you can get many more people joining in the conversation or debate then again, rankings and popularity could increase.

Readers Leaving Comments

I always leave a comments box for readers to use at the bottom of the post. Commenting and having an opinion on a subject is what having a blog is all about. So get one put into your blog and finish your post with a leading question or invite comments. It makes it all so much more interesting.

Lots of content

Finally, writing a successful blog post will get you more traffic. It’s as simple as that. Answer the questions that people are asking on the internet. By doing this, search engine users will see your links and click on through. It’s not rocket science I promise.

Reviewing Online Marketing Mentors

Reviewing Online Marketing Mentors

Welcome to my review of Online Marketing Mentors’ online training program.
My name is Adrian Whitworth and I wanted to get this review out because I am genuinely excited about this product. Online Marketing Mentors has been created by James Corey and David Boozer in order to help online marketing beginners get an advantage in building their business on the world wide web.

Reviewing Online Marketing Mentors

What is in it for you?

This training program will take you through a step by step and day by day program. A combination of white board tutorials and on screen recordings will teach you what techniques you need to apply over and over to achieve an online presence. The videos and tutorials are really easy to follow, and David Boozer has a relaxed and sometimes humorous style to his teaching. Within minutes of watching each video or tutorial, we are ready to start applying these straight forward trainings.

For some of us it has been an expensive and frustrating journey trying to build a successful business online. There is so much hype and theory in a lot of the big hitters on the internet. I’ve looked at lots of online marketing training programs and there is so much glossy production and hype in the sales videos. I’ve found that I’ve only really needed around 20% of the content in there. The rest is rubbish to be honest with you! Online marketing mentors have cut the hype and concentrated on the knowledge you do need to make a success of yourselves online.

Reviewing Online Marketing Mentors

Reviewing Online Marketing Mentors

What You Learn

• Website set-up. Learn how to set your wordpress blog up properly for conversions, opt-ins and sales.
• Lead Generation. You will be shown how to drive traffic to your product or sevice.
• Local Marketing. Dominate the competition in your local area.
• Social Bookmarking. Improve your rankings online with proven techniques
• Sales Funnel Creation. Get people to take action online!
• Affiliate Marketing. Start generating a great income online.
• Free ways to market. No point in you spending lots of money to get discovered online.

How much will this cost?

Well, the initial package is $497 which equates to £320 depending on the currency exchange rate.
I always like to tell people that you get what you pay for. The program’s quality video training and white board tutorials are certainly value for money. I spoke earlier in this review about how some of the bigger hitters in the online training industry only really give you around 20% of the information you really need and still charge upto $2000. So for me, $497 is a great price for superb training.

Are there any up-sells in the program?

Usually I moan and complain when programs up-sell several times which you are pressured into undertaking because you can’t use the initial program without the up-sells. It’s driven me to distraction so I am understandably very critical of such tactics. There is only one up-sell and that is for an Online Marketing Mentor to walk you through the training program if you are having problems understanding the videos and tutorials. I know myself that mentorship is vital for some individuals to really get the best out of the training programs.

So, how much then?

It costs $197 which equates to £125 for a 10 day walk through period. This 10 day period is planned after some consultation and the mentor will call you up and go through your work and see where you want to go and give you all the necessary support and help so you get the maximum out of the program. The chances are, that you’ll be just fine without the up-sell. But, for those that need it, it is a great extra tool to make the program pay.

To conclude

Reviewing Online Marketing Mentors has shown me this is a fabulous product and I must say that this separates the wheat from the chaff! I hit the red cross button as soon as those awful videos with subtitles come up and waste 15 minutes of my life! This program educates its students in subjects that we need, at a fraction of the cost of its competitors.

Choosing An Affiliate Marketing Training Program

Choosing An Affiliate Marketing Training Program

Choosing An Affiliate Marketing Training Program is a vital step towards building a successful business online. Most newbies who started in this business had a get rich quick attitude as they wanted the money without putting in the effort. No successful business in history made their money overnight. So get real and prepare yourself for education and application. This post is about what to look for when seeking marketing training online.

What Training Program Do You Decide On?

Choosing an affiliate marketing training program can be tricky as there are so many programs with hype and promises of giving you the secret to a fortune. The question you must ask yourself is can you get the training you need to succeed in the affiliate marketing industry? The answer i often hear is no. The affiliate training programs i have seen look great and plenty of effort goes into the tutorial videos, but they all fail because of one thing. There is no genuine one on one training or coaching involved.

One Common Mistake

If there’s one single major mistake that i see people making when getting involved in affiliate marketing is a lack of preparation and awareness of the work that is needed. Good homes have solid foundations and affiliate marketing  businesses are no different. There are base foundations that we apply in affiliate marketing and I will come to that very soon.

What to look for in an affiliate marketing training program

You get what you pay for in this life so beware of programs that cost $37, $97 or $197. I bought my fair share of those and remember the feeling of my heart sinking when i started to make my way through them and realised it was all the same rubbish. After about 5 years I found my mentor and he taught me all of the base foundation subjects i needed. The main difference why this worked over all the other programs was one on one coaching and mentorship.

It took 60 days of intensive learning and applying the things he was teaching me. After those 60 days, i found the content on my website was consistently getting ranked on page one of the search engines. I had learned to direct free organic traffic to any product or service i wanted.

The subjects that need covering in affiliate marketing training are:

 Keyword research
 Keyword density
 Content writing
 Content structure
 Link building
 Linking structure
 Social bookmarking
 Video marketing
 Funnel creation

choosing affiliate marketing training program

Adrian Whitworth's online marketing training program

 Due Dilligence

Some programs and educational platforms can cost thousands. Most of these types of training platforms come with opportunities built in with a sponsor to ask questions when they are available.  Solid research is needed here because of the cost of the training.

It is said that 90-95% of people that intend to make money online FAIL. Most of these people fail because of their bad attitude and laziness. You have to be focused and apply the techniques from your training. Creating content time and time again will drive traffic to your site. Because with lots of content, you will develop trust in your site and that will bring business.

Choosing an affiliate marketing training program or system comes with decisions to make,  but when your research is completed just go for it. I found success, but it came from solid training and mentorship. Learning the base foundations is essential before any success is found.

Researching Clickbank Products

Researching Clickbank Products

How well is the Product Selling?

Researching Clickbank products can start by looking at an affiliate product’s GRAVITY. This figure generally represents how the affiliate product has been selling for around 6 to 8 weeks. You want to be looking at a gravity between 10 and 100. Anything over 100 means that competition in this particular affiliate product is getting competitive. Anything under 10 means that it’s very likely that this product could be poor quality and isn’t selling.

Identifying Products on the Rise

Researching Clickbank products on the rise is an important tactic in looking for something to market on your blog or your website. I like to look for 10 new affiliate products in my chosen niche and look at their history over 14 days. If you can see a trend of sales growth then there is some evidence that the product is selling well. As it’s likely that competition from other affiliates will be minimal, get on the product, but still keep an eye on that gravity. The magic number is 100 don’t forget. If the gravity shoots over 100 then you may notice your sales drop or slow down. I have changed products in that circumstance.

Finding The Diamond In The Rough

If an affiliate product has a gravity of zero then there’s more research to do in deciding whether you should promote that product. How much search traffic does that niche get? Google it or use whatever search engine you prefer. Use google keyword tool to see how many global and local searches that niche and its keywords are getting.  If the search numbers stand up and encourage you then put the product on your site or blog and monitor the results. Finding the diamond in the rough is good because you get it all to yourself for a time.

When looking for your diamond in the rough i also love to check and see how the product is performing in its return or refund rates. In England we say refunds instead of returns. Clickbank doesn’t always offer this information, but if you look carefully, you will see return rate on some of the products. I personally wouldn’t touch a product with more than a 20% return rate. The ideal would be no more than 10%.

If you think about it, you must have bought something through Clickbank and been disappointed by the product in relation to its sales pitch. I definitely have, especially in the making money online niche. If you are looking at a product and it has a 20% return rate then you are risking losing 1 in 5 sales in refunds if people arent happy with the product you have marketed. But, in rare cases, if the conversion rate is high and the commission generous, then a higher return rate might be tolerable. That’s up to you to do the proper research and make the decision.

If you want my opinion, I just avoid stuff that’s returning over 20%. It’s my quality control. I like sales copy that is genuine to the product.

researching clickbank products

researching clickbank products

Other tests for zero gravity products:

• Look at its sales page. Does it have good text and good images?
• Is there a video on the sales page? People are more likely to watch a video than trawl through lots and lots of text. Most people are lazy after all!
• If you like the sales pitch, then other people are likely to find it attractive.
• Sales pages with testimonials do very well.
• ‘Buy Now’ buttons work very well.
• Professional page design goes a long way to getting people to buy the product
• Are there any bonuses on offer? Bonuses are known to be a ‘Swaying’ factor in converting to sales.

Researching Clickbank products needs consistent testing in the subjects discussed above. So, keep looking at gravity rates, return rates, good sales copy, and good clean content within that sales copy. Remember to look at the sales copy if you were a potential customer. Identify the things that you would be looking for if you were to part with your cash. Come over to my training Program opportunity if you want more information.
